The Identify My Data SUM describes the Australian National Data Service's “Identify My Data” service (IMD). This service provides the Australian research community with a centralized persistent identifier service. It is a realisation of the PILIN SUM , providing an interface to persistent identifier resolution, allocation and maintenance. The underlying persistent identifier service is Handle , with a custom maintenance layer provided through HTTP web services.
