Study overview
Curtis+Cartwright Consulting Limited ( http://www.curtiscartwright.co.uk) has been commissioned by JISC to contribute UK security functionality to the e-Framework. The scope is limited to the security-based developments of the UK federation, the NGS CA and related JISC projects.
The first phase of the study presents an overview of the e-Framework partners' security-based developments, and provides a high-level synopsis of the current UK developments. The second phase will submit UK security developments to the e-Framework, and the final phase will provide recommendations to JISC.
Phase 1: Landscape study
This phase has now been completed.
We hope that the document will:
– promote discussion in the community
– aide the understanding of security in the sector
– be a strawman for how security functionality should map to the e-Framework
The landscape study has been formally reviewed by key stakeholders. Please add your comments/corrections/ideas to this wiki. The next phase is underway so all contributions are appreciated.
