ARCHER SUM

Specific Context

The  ARCHER project ( DART was proof of concept for this) is working towards a collaborative research repository where data and workflows can be shared. This will likely include a GridSphere UI (MAMS/Shibbolised), an ARROW repository (with GridSphere portlet for this), an SRB back-end data store. Possible usage scenarios:

  • ARROW will contain citable Handles for the repository entry. (existing functionality)
  • GridSphere will support an SRB portlet for navigation and data management. (existing functionality)
  • ARROW will support SRB as a back-end data store. (may be existing functionality)
  • ARROW will contain citable+resolvable links (using PILIN?) to the data resource in SRB. (functionality not existing)
  • Job Dispatchers and Resource Brokers (such as NIMROD/G) can evaluate these citable links as data resources for processing. (functionality not existing)
