The University of Bristol, ILRT Research Content Integration SUM

Background

This SUM is derived from the work funded by JISC for the Content Integration Project ( http://cip-blog.ilrt.bris.ac.uk/blog/ ). It describes a model where disparate institutional information is gathered by automated approaches, re-presented for search and browse by a wide-ranging stakeholder community and augmented with external content and via social software. The goal is to provide a more unified and global view of the institution’s research and research-related information, with a focus on extensible and flexible re-use of data through well-specified semantics and well-understood end-user requirements.

The SUM available here is an initial draft still awaiting a diagram.
