(ADL-R) Repository Federation SUMs
The (ADL-R) Repository Federation SUMs consists of two separate SUMs that model the ADL-Registry
- The (ADL-R) Repository Federation SUM -- content object discovery, delivery and management.
The (ADL-R) repository federation service usage model models the operation and use of a content repository federation, i.e., a collection of managed repositories providing a single point of discovery for content from the repositories in the collection. The SUM federation service usage model is a derivative subset of the Federated Repositories for Education (FRED) repository federation SUM, and models the capabilities of the ADL-Registry.
- The (ADL-R) Federated Metadata Registry Provisioning and Management -- overall registry provisioning and management.
The (ADL-R) Federated Metadata Registry Provisioning and Management service usage model provides services needed to establish and operate a repository federation such as the ADL-R. This SUM complements the (ADL-R) repository federation service usage model.
The ADL-R SUMs are derivates of the FRED SUMs. They indicate which parts of the FRED SUMs are not implemented in the ADL-R. Other than these annotations, a different introduction and editorial and style differences, these SUMs should be technically identical to the FRED V1.0.0 SUMs
Currently awaiting final ADL approval for formal ADL submission.
